What is Guided Meditation?

The basic foundation of all types of meditation is that they focus on quieting the active mind. It is a state where the “body is consciously relaxed and the mind is allowed to become calm and focused1.” It may not always be possible to quiet your external environment, but meditation aims to quiet your internal environment:  the mind.  Practicing meditation disengages the random and excited thoughts of the mind, and directs your attention to a specific healing aspect or focus.
