The basic purpose of meditation is quieting the active mind and entering a state of concentration. It is In a state of concentrated stillness that we can engage the mind with positive affirmations that change our beliefs about healing. For decades, scientists thought that the mind was completely formed by the teenage years. Recent research has indicated the mind is an ever evolving "muscle" that adapts to changes and thrives when given new challenges. Creating new neural pathways is the means to changing beliefs and habits in our daily lives. This is the aim of the meditations and affirmations you will find on the following pages.
The type of meditation available on this website is considered Mindful Meditation. Guided meditation simply means another person walks you through the meditation process. Guided Visual Meditation indicates that you will be guided through a meditation that uses mental images and encourages you to see, hear, smell and feel the suggested relaxing environment.
